Christine Baird Christine's voice and arrangements are as good as you will find anywhere. Her vocals and song writing drip with emotion. She is a brialliant person and musician. By the way, she can really play guitar! She has a wonderful feel for the instrument and great tone.
Christine collaborated on virtually every aspect of her VRS. It features an ultra lightweight Swamp Ash body. The neck joint and lower bout are sculpted and the neck plate is recessed for comfortble easy access to the upper frets. The neck is roasted, quartersawn, master grade flame Maple. The headstock is high gloss while the back of the neck has a fast satin finish. The fingerboard is Cocobolo and sits perfectly with the siena sunburst finish on the body. The bridge pickup is one of my favorites, a Seymour Duncan Custom Hybrid 59. The neck and middle are Rizzuto vintage singe coils with ALNICO V magnets. Christine choose a cream pickguard with contrasting white plastic. The bridge is a Gotoh 510 with saddles by Highwood. The tuners are Gotoh HAPM (height adjustable or staggered post) locking tuners for a vintage vibe with modern functionality.
